Suit Up

In an effort to ensure that Genesys Works students have professional clothing for job interviews and their new professional work opportunities, Social Venture Partners is sponsoring the Genesys Works “Suit Up” clothing drive.  Our dream is to provide all young men and women at least one business outfit.  We need your help in making this dream a reality!  Donations of gently worn women’s and men’s business attire are needed now.  Check your closets for items you no longer need.  Encourage your friends and business associates to do the same.

We ask that your business attire donations be clean, up-to-date, and “interview appropriate.”  All sizes are needed:  petites and plus sizes appreciated.  Business apparel needed includes:

·        Pant & Skirt Suits	·        Dress Shirts	·        Ties
·        Khakis & Dress Pants	·        Blouses	·        Dresses
·        Jackets/Sport Coats	·        Sweater Sets	·        Dress Belts

Partners can drop off their donations now through Friday, August 12^th at the Genesys Works or Pragmatek offices.  Genesys Works will hold the “Suit Up” shopping day for its students Tuesday, August 17^th and Wednesday, August 18^th. 

GET INVOLVED:

• Donate gently worn business attire!  We’re looking for up-to-date business attire in all sizes.
• Volunteer for the “Suit Up” shopping day(s)!  If you’d like to take a ‘hands-on’ approach by helping students pick out their professional clothing on one of the “Suit Up” shopping days, sign up for a ‘personal shopper’ time slot (see contact information below). 
• Give a gift card!  If you’ve already cleaned out your closet but still want to make sure a young professional gets suited, you can donate a gift card (Amex, Target or Visa).  Gift cards will be used for those students who were unable to be fitted with the donated clothing. 
• Spread the word!  Encourage your friends and business associates to donate, volunteer, or make a cash donation.  Share this email or the attached flyer!
