With summer training in full swing, Genesys Works staff and students recently welcomed representatives from Dell in our Saint Paul office. The day was designed to celebrate what has become a multifaceted partnership between the two organizations.
More than a big check
The event focused on the ways Genesys Works and Dell have deepened their relationship beyond the financial support of the Dell Powering the Possible program. For example, Dell has contributed new laptops for each of our five classrooms, enabling us to train nearly 200 students this summer. Also, 30 Dell employees have donated time to network with our students and answer questions about careers in technology. Dell is a key volunteer partner in our upcoming mock interviews and Suit Up professional clothing drive.
Most notably, the Dell location in Eden Prairie, MN has taken on two Genesys Works interns as contract employees, contributing directly to their professional development. Richfield High School graduates Dillon Madsen and Christian Garcia are now transitioning out of their internship and into college, but they got one last chance to celebrate with their Dell coworkers at the event.
