Come Celebrate Student Success on September 28th

Anh Nguyen sharing his life story
Want to be inspired?  Want to help support our amazing Genesys Works students?  Then please circle September 28 on your calendar for our 4th Annual Breaking Through Ceremony.  It’s not to be missed!

For those of you that have not attended a Breaking Through event in the past, it is an opportunity to celebrate the important first steps that our students have taken on their journeys towards college and professional careers.  You will hear inspiring stories of students overcoming significant challenges in their lives and blossoming into confident and highly-motivated young professionals, stories such as the ones shared by Anh Nguyen last year (view it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VW9W6yaq9Yg) or Juan Puentes in the previous year (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmBWgcEslm4).

The 2011 Breaking Through Ceremony will be held the afternoon of Wednesday, September 28th, at the McNamara Alumni Center on the University of Minnesota Campus.  The event will start at 4:30pm and will be followed by a reception where you can meet and congratulate our 114 students on their success.  More information will follow, but for now, simply reserve the 28th of September on your calendars and be prepared for one of the most inspiring and uplifting afternoons you will experience this year.  We look forward to seeing you then!

  1. I am so excited for the GenesysWorks 4th Breaking Through Ceremony. I remember when it was just about 13 of us,and how great of an experience that was. GW is really making history in the Twin Cities, and I am Proud to have been apart of the Ground Breaking movement!
