Recruitment Season Kicks Off

Most people think of December as the end of the year, but for us at Genesys Works, December also marks an important beginning—the beginning of student recruitment season and plans for a new class of Genesys Works Young Professionals.

Planning for Class 5 began with a bang earlier this month with our Recruitment Kick-Off meeting.  That evening, champions from Genesys Works’ partner schools came together to celebrate the success of Class 4, discuss recruitment strategies and lay the groundwork for a successful GWTC Class 5.   Great insight from seasoned school champions were shared and fresh ideas from new champions sparked creativity among the group. Everyone was able to walk away with a recruiting toolkit filled with resources that they will be able to use as we put our recruitment plans into action in the upcoming months!

In our four years of existence, we've trained nearly 300 and placed over 200 high school seniors into internships. We have our sights set high for Class 5. We aim to have 200 students from more than 22 high schools begin summer training in June. We know that with the innovative strategies and commitment of school champions, this goal is possible!

Current high school juniors: look for more information and upcoming presentations about Genesys Works at your high school.  Interested students should apply online at our website:  http://www.genesysworks.org/twincities/Students/Application The deadline for online applications is March 9th.
