That evening, Genesys Works’ College and Career Success Program welcomed Class 5 recent graduates into the program, expanding our program to 344 participants. The night started off with networking between Classes 1-5 as they got to know each other better through human bingo, followed by the annual award ceremony that recognized instances of student excellence from Class 5. Awards categories included: Best Attendance, Breakthrough, 110%, Ambassador, Top Dollar, Oil Can, ACHIEVER for embodying the values of Genesys Works, Most Improved, Scholarship $, Work Place Leadership, and Distinguished Alumni.
After the introduction of the new Genesys Works– Twin
Cities Alumni Interns and a taco dinner, students got the opportunity to
reunite with classmates, as well as to continue to build their network with all
other Genesys Works alumni. We concluded the night with over $1,500 worth of
in-kind donations from local companies including Patrick's Cabaret, Dale Studios, the Science Museum, and Hennepin Theatre Trust. We are so thankful for their generous contributions to the event!
