Genesys Works Staff Doubles in Size

In June we not only welcomed 135 students to Genesys Works – Twin Cities, but also doubled the staff in our office.   This enthusiastic group jumped right in, working diligently to arm our latest group of Young Professionals with the professional and technical skills they need to be successful in the workplace.  New staff members have been here only a few short weeks, but their knowledge, leadership and energy have already been noted by our students and their contributions are helping make this our most successful summer yet!
This group includes three new Program Coordinators: Jackie Jacobs, Mai Youa Moua and Krystal Stackhouse. Mai Youa and Krystal join us from Admission Possible, where they prepared students to navigate the ACT and college application process at Central High School in Saint Paul and Patrick Henry High School in Minneapolis respectively. Jackie also brings a wealth of experience from her most recent position at Youthworks where she coordinated life-changing, mission trips for youth. All three bring great enthusiasm and teaching experience to the job, along with a dedication to serve our students and provide great service to our clients.
Also joining us for the summer are four outstanding Technical Trainers. David Pickens, our Lead IT Instructor, is back for his fourth summer with Genesys Works – Twin Cities and has been instrumental in refining our curriculum. We are also thrilled to have Mayfield Fayose join us again this summer. Both David and Mayfield have invaluable experience teaching in a variety of venues including their current roles as instructors at Inver Hills Community College. Joining them this summer are Joe Zwack and Joanne Knobel. Joe is a former Best Buy Geek Squad member and has great hands on stories to share in the classroom, while Joanne comes with great experience in training and owning her own business. We are excited to have them bring IT to life for our students.
With this group joining our six current staff members we are confident our Class 4 Young Professionals will be even better prepared to succeed in their internships this fall!
